WADMAN CORPORATION WINS 8TH ANNUAL ABC SAFETY OLYMPICS Ogden – On Thursday September 13, 2007 Wadman Corporation took home the “Grand Champions” trophy for the Associated Builders & Contractors Safety Olympics. Over 25 individuals from Wadman Corporation, Big-D Construction, R & O Construction and Sorensen Construction Inc. competed in the 8th Annual Associated Builders and Contractors of Utah Safety Olympics Competition. The event is held annually to raise the level of safety awareness and promote education through competition. Teams competed in four separate competitions: a bobcat competition; the backhoe ballet; a rough terrain forklift challenge and a scissor lift biathlon. Contestants were judged on time, accuracy and adherence to general safety guidelines. Members of “Team Wadman” 2007 Safety Grand Champions were: Ben Wadman - bobcat, Chris Martin - forklift, Eric Wadman - backhoe, Robert Robinson - scissor lift, and team captain Blaine Harding. This was the third consecutive win for Wadman Corporation. The event was sponsored in part by a grant from the Utah Labor Commission, and hosted by Wheeler Machinery. Associated Builders and Contractors represent nearly 24,000 construction and or construction related firms in 79 chapters across the United States.
