BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE

Building for the future

40% of Utah’s air pollution is attributed to emissions from buildings. As construction in Utah is at an all-time high, Building sustainable is a mindset and how we at Wadman Corporation are building for the future.

Sustainability

Wadman Corporation understands the importance of taking a Sustainable approach to each project. Our approach is to identify basic sustainable building objectives and maximize building efficiencies.

Construction begins with implementing methods that enhance sustainable efforts, including:

  • Limiting the materials used to reduce waste

  • Controlling waste management

  • Constructing green buildings

  • Adaptive reuse projects that transform old buildings

  • Managing construction sites to improve conservation efforts

  • Choosing Sustainable and recycled materials

The Exchange is an All-electric and Carbon-Neutral building. One of the primary ways this building reduces energy usage is by preventing heat gain and loss during hot and cold seasons. The design of this building allows for utilities to be maximized and with the use of efficient HVAC, lighting, and appliances this building is not wasting any energy, and running eco-friendly.

Renewable energy is a big part of the carbon-neutral formula. In order for the Excahgne to create little to no carbon, engineers must first design a building that uses as little energy as possible, and then add in renewable systems to provide as much energy as possible to meet the building’s requirements.
