The Point Fairpark - Phase Two : Ribbon Cutting

With the completion of Phase Two of The Point at Fairpark, the addition of a new clubhouse and case worker offices marks an important milestone for the community. This exciting addition enhances the existing development by providing valuable amenities and essential support spaces for residents, fostering a stronger and more connected neighborhood.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony, held on Friday, marked the official opening of these new facilities. Local officials, developers, and community members gathered to celebrate this milestone, recognizing the impact these new spaces will have on Salt Lake City’s growing housing needs.

Designed with community in mind, the new clubhouse offers a welcoming space for residents to gather, while the new case worker offices provide essential support services. With its prime location near public transportation and major roadways, The Point at Fairpark continues to offer accessibility and convenience to its residents.

The success of this project was made possible through Wadman’s collaboration with Assist Inc. Community Design Center. The new clubhouse and case worker offices at The Point at Fairpark are more than just an expansion—they provide vital resources that enhance the community and improve residents’ quality of life.

Wadman Corporation is proud to have played a role in bringing this vision to life and looks forward to continuing to build strong communities across Utah.

THE ASTER - 255 STATE, DOWNTOWN SALT LAKE CITY

What started as a pit and an eyesore on State Street, now marks an amazing affordable housing project. The two towers include a total of 190 units and 20,000 square feet of commercial space. This has a unique space called the Paseo, a walkway allowing individuals to walk right down the middle of this property.

The project also included the restoration of the Cramer house (133 years old), which will be used as commercial space and add to the atmosphere of this property.

Amenities for residents include common areas on multiple floors, an underground parking garage, a gym, bicycle sharing with on-site storage, wellness rooms, and event venues.

Construction of this project was not a simple task, with a job site that was wall to wall and being right off busy State Street in Salt Lake City, superintendents; Isaac Mittlestaedt and Shawn Conroy had to work their magic.

The project is property line to property line making on-site laydown areas nearly nonexistent. On-time deliveries and work from the project’s various scopes required the highest level of scheduling and coordination.
— Isaac Mittlestaedt, On-site Superintendent

“Working downtown is definitely a whole different animal than working just about anywhere else,” said Shawn Conroy, Wadman’s Superintendent for the south tower. “We had to think outside the box almost daily in order to complete this project.”

This was a great project and we are glad we got to work with the Brindshore Development team and KTGY as the architect.

GOLDENWEST CREDIT UNION - GROUNDBREAKING

Goldenwest Credit Union broke ground Friday, April 29th, on its new corporate office building located in Washington Terrace. This building is conveniently located across the street from the GWCU Corporate Branch and next door to the Operation Center. The event was attended by Washington Terrace City officials, Goldenwest Credit Union executives, Weber County Commissioners, and Studio 333, the architects of this project. Wadman Corporation was represented by a portion of our project team, Rob McBride and Malik Penrod, and executives Chad Venable and Casey Nielsen.

The new five-story 99,000-square-foot building will include offices, training rooms, and a large multi-use space for corporate and community events.

Founded in 1936, Goldenwest Credit Union and has been a major player in Weber County for over 85 years. Kerry Wahlen, President, and CEO of GWCU took a few moments to discuss the project at the groundbreaking.

One of our goals in this process was to have a legacy as we keep growing and keep our facilities here in Weber County and not move them to Salt Lake City.

We are excited to work with the Goldenwest Team and the architects of Studio 333 over the course of this project.
