Weber Morgan Children’s Justice Center : Ribbon Cutting
On May 22, 2025, the Weber-Morgan community celebrated the grand opening of the new Weber-Morgan Children’s Justice Center (CJC) in Ogden, Utah. Located at 1845 Jackson Avenue, this state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to providing a safe, child-friendly environment for young victims of abuse to receive comprehensive support services.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony brought together state officials, community leaders, and faith representatives, including Utah Attorney General Derek Brown, who emphasized the center's role in reducing trauma for child victims.
Designed to resemble a welcoming home rather than an institutional facility, the new CJC features calming artwork and private spaces to help children feel at ease during interviews and counseling sessions. This thoughtful design aims to minimize the stress associated with recounting traumatic experiences.
The opening of this center marks a significant advancement in the region's efforts to support and protect its youngest and most vulnerable members.
