This project required major demolition of a portion of the existing facility while maintaining the remainder of the building operational during the first phase.  Student safety was paramount to this project and all necessary measures were taken to ensure special needs students were not affected by construction on campus. Classroom areas were constructed for the new Special Education Building and upon completion, existing students and programs temporarily occupied the newly completed portion of the building. The second phase consisted of the demolition of the remainder of the existing Vista Center to accommodate the construction of the rest of the new facility and associated site work.
